I know there are brothers & sisters all around the world celebrating Easter in secret or forced quie

I know there are brothers & sisters all around the world celebrating Easter in secret or forced quiet today, so we sang extra loud *for you* at the top of our lungs:

“All Hail KING JESUS. All Hail the Lord of heaven and earth. All Hail King Jesus. All Hail the Savior of the world.” 🤍

I can’t wait for heaven, singing with every tongue, tribe, and nation, so loudly and freely one day! Just imagining that gives me chills. Jesus is our living hope. Not a fictional character, a “sky daddy,” or a delusion. Not a liar or a lunatic. He’s not a “Western” God or just a suggested moral teacher. When I first believed in Him at 18, after reading Scripture on the floor of Barnes & Noble, More Than a Carpenter, The Case for Christ, and praying “whoever You are, open my eyes please,” …He met me. And knowing Him has only made life richer in both the highs & the trials.

He is God, He is good, and HE IS RISEN AMEN. Happy Easter from my family to yours! ✝️

Hey — I wrote a book about all of this.

Living Open-Handed is the devotional I wrote during a season when I really needed to hear these words myself. If you're in a place where you need to be encouraged by scripture and softened by grace, it might be for you too.
