Pray for the University of Texas, Austin – Revelation 21:4

I want to take a moment of silence with you guys for something that happened
at my alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin, yesterday.
We were mid-dinner party last night when I got an alert about multiple stabbings on our college campus that resulted in one death and several injuries.
Harrison Brown, a freshman, was just 19 years old when his life was
taken away from him in the middle of our campus.
I can’t imagine the devastating loss his family and friends feel but
oh man, my heart is heavy to hear about it.
If you’re near there, I pray that you find the courage to take
this day and every one after it without fear. I hope you are able to find
ways to support those who are grieving and need your strength.
If you’re not near there, please join me in praying for our
students, their families, Harrison, and our university.
If you’re looking for a way to support, you can check out the gofundme page
and/or send up prayers to our Father in heaven who hears every cry
and word we shout out to him!
Sending so much love & prayer from London my fellow Longhorns!
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
Hey — I wrote a book about all of this.
Living Open-Handed is the devotional I wrote during a season when I really needed to hear these words myself. If you're in a place where you need to be encouraged by scripture and softened by grace, it might be for you too.
