Quezzas Austin: Home to the Quesadilla Pizzas You Didn't Know You Needed

Last week, my husband, friend and I visited Quezza’s Austin off Barton Springs Road and South Lamar. This Austin food truck is brand new! It’s only been around for a few weeks but has already accrued a loyal customer base. And it’s no wonder really, their quesadilla based, modern. Mexican pizzas are unbelievably delicious.
Food:
I ordered the Fiesta pizza and the Lonestar pizza. You can check out their menu here. Quezzas is comfort food and flavor to the max with a variety of veggie and nonveg options. Also, if you want to get Quezzas queso, it makes for a great appetizer and pizza dip. Did I take home my leftovers and spoon the queso with my pizza? Absolutely.
When would you go to Quezzas? For a happy hour or a girl’s night in or a quick bite or takeaway! We have plenty of date nights where we just want to Netflix and eat and this is definitely a place I would indulge in a takeaway. Fun fact, people say takeaway in the UK and not “to-go” so now it’s a habit because yo girl ordered a lot of food for takeaway, clearly lol.
Truck:
Okay so I didn’t realize this at first, but the truck is Spurs colors inspired! I literally had no idea but the two San Antonians that were with me knew right away haha. I think the truck’s design is awesome. It tells you how to pronounce the restaurant, the entire menu, the logo catches your attention, and the colors are bright and bold with a black background. Probably one of my favorite food truck designs I’ve seen!
Location:
So Quezzas is currently parked in the Barton Springs Saloon parking lot. This is actually a great location because there is plenty of free parking, free seating, and it’s a stone’s throw from Zilker Park. I’m sure this place is going to get really busy in the coming weeks so definitely go check them out soon! Also, their owners and chef are the sweetest people so I hope you meet them when you go.
Check Quezzas out on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram while you’re at it! Let me know how it is after your visit!
Cheers,
Hey — I wrote a book about all of this.
Living Open-Handed is the devotional I wrote during a season when I really needed to hear these words myself. If you're in a place where you need to be encouraged by scripture and softened by grace, it might be for you too.
