50 Costume Ideas for the Uninspired and Unsure

Costumes can be the most stressful thing when you’re not inspired. But ugh, you’ve already accepted that costume party invite for next weekend. Your first thought is along the lines of, “What can I dress up as that doesn’t take up my cash moneyz and time?” Well friends, I’m happy to say that you probably can’t find any easier costume ideas than the ones below. Some of them are truly ridiculous, but hey, anything is better than putting a sheet over yourself and going as a ghost.

*base shirt = the shirt/dress/sheet underneath in case you need to put items on yourself for your costume

MUSIC

  1. Beyonce & her Lemonade album – Something with lemons making lemonade or maybe shaded letters J & Z for throwing some shade at Jay-Z. Halloween is actually on a Monday, so you could say “Lemonday” if you’re really feeling punny.
  2. Nickelback – Nickels on the back of your base shirt. Then on the front write, “Never forget.” 😀
  3. “Work” by Rihanna – Staple old paperwork/homework onto your base shirt. Extra points if you can master her accent. You could also dress like you are going to work.
  4. Coldplay the band – Gloves, mittens, ear muffs, scarves, and then a shirt with the triangle symbol for play on it. PS can anyone get me tickets?!
  5. “One Dance” by Drake – Write #1 on your base shirt and then start dancing. Truly the least amount of effort necessary.  Or you could pick a more expensive option and carry around 100 $1 bills with you, and as you make it rain, dance around.
  6. “Pillowtalk” by Zayn – Stick pillows over you and just start talking.
